What to do when you find a burnt-out street light? 

 

Here are the steps:

 

1. Mark burnt-out light with blue tape
   • A way to mark is to use blue tape around the post
2. Create a While on Patrol Report on the InCar
   • Write where the light is out so the Property Manager can send it as a maintenance report. 
     • add the closest address,
     • cross streets,
     • or some sort of reference so maintenance can properly locate the light. 
   • If the pole has a pole number (sometimes there is a metal plate), you must include that in the report
3. Include Pictures of the tape you put and a location picture
