Dear Staff,

It is summer time now so we need to make sure that we are doing pool checks every time we are on a property that has a pool from 10 am to pool closing time. We will need to do pool checks starting today through Labor Day. If you get a response call to a property, after you deal with your response call make sure you stop by the pool and do a pool check.

For pool checks you are required to stop at each pool and check for pool keys and make sure residents are obeying pool rules and have the proper amount of guests. For anyone that does not have a pool key or that is not accompanied by a resident must be escorted out of the pool area.

If you find anyone breaking the pool rules, make sure you inform them what they are doing is not allowed and inform them of the correct rule. Make sure you get their information (names, addresses, pool key number) and include what they were doing in your pool check report.

After you do your pool check you need to make a pool check report. For example, you will select the account and go to the "Reporting" tab, and make a “While on patrol” report and then write the following:

"While on patrol I did a pool check and found 7 people in the pool area and all 7 people had pool keys."

"While on patrol I did a pool check and found 7 people in the pool area and 5 people had pool keys. 1 person was accompanied by a resident and 1 did not have a pool key. I escorted the 1 person who didn't have a key out of the pool area."

"While on patrol I did a pool check and found 0 people in the pool area."

This is very important during this time of the year. If you have any questions or concerns with writing reports, please call Wendy (714-337-9300) or myself (714-788-6461) and we will walk you through the process.
